and returned to winning ways with a 3-2 victory pushing them up to fith in their division.
7th March 2004 - Lee Make Bexley Cup Final
The Under 12's reached the final
of the Bexley up for the second year in succession following their 1-0

very close fought match Lee grabbed the winner with only 1 minute of normal
time remaining. Congratulations to the entire squad.

16th February 2004 - Strong Performances all round
After last weeks defeat the Under
10's travelled to Long Lane and put in a good performance, losing 4-0 but with
some positives for the squad. The under 12's followed up their victory over
Riverside last week in the Bexley Cup with another win, this time against the
League leaders Greenwich Borough Youth. The under 13's squad made it 10 games
undefeated with a very good 2-2 draw with League Leaders Istead Colts.
2nd February 2004 - Nowt to see or say
After promising updates all 3
teams had their respective matches cancelled this weekend. Needless to say
that not only were the players at a loose end, but many parents just didn't
know what to do with themselves.
19th January 2004 - Updates are back
Apologies for the lack of
updates in 2003 but hopefully we will keep you informed of all the latest
news as from now on. The Under 10's have had a torrid time in the top flight
so far this season. Graeme is now managing and is trying to encourage all
players to keep on playing well. The Under 12's have a very much new new look
squad and are playing very well. They are lying 2nd in the A division and are
still in both the London and Bexley Cup competitions.
The Under 13's, after promotion last season, have consolidated very well
in the B East division and are comfortable in mid table.
8th
September 2003 - All teams into Action

their first pre season friendly games over the past week. The Under 10's
travelled to the Warren to play Lewisham Youth 'A' and came away with
A 2:1 victory. the Under 12's payed Long Lane U13 'B' at Dursley Road and
won 9:1, and the Under 13's played hosts to Beehive Boys from the A Division
and narrowly lost 3:2 with a very good performance.

12th July 2003 - U11's have a semi-final showdown
In their last outing of the season the U11's travelled
to Crawley to play in the Ifield Cobra's 6-A-Side Tournament. Two teams
were entered on the day, Reds And Whites, and both were successful in
reaching the Semi-finals. Unfortunately they were drawn together, with
the Whites winning 1-0. The whites lost in the final, also 1-0, as the
heat and the fact that they had played all day with no substitutes,
took its toll. A great day out and one they hope to do again next season.
7th July 2003 - U9's & U11's So So Close
Ziggy and his gang went so close to winning the
Thamesmead Town Summer Tournament, losing on penalties
in the final for the third time in recent competitions. Full Tournament
Report on the Under 10's Page. The Under 11's managed to get 2 teams
into the semi-finals at Long Lane, only for both to be beaten.
2nd July 2003 - Bexley League issue Proposed Divisions
The Bexley & District JFL have issued proposed Divisions
for the 2003/04 Season. those that include LUFC teams are shown below:
UNDER 10A - Crayford Black, Crayford Red, Footscray Lions Red, Griffin Sports,
Hayden Youth A, Lee United, Lewisham Youth A, Long Lane A, Long Lane B,
Oxlea Rangers, Samuel Montagu and Thamesmead Eagles.
UNDER 12A - Beckenham Town, Belvedere Sports, Brockley Rangers A, Footscray
Lions A, Glebe, Greenwich Borough Youth, Griffin A, Lee United, Long Lane A,
Riverside A and White Oak Wanderers.
UNDER 13 B East - Blackfen Pumas, CJ's B, Dartford Vikings, Hayden Youth,
Istead Colts, Kingfisher, Lee United, Long Lane A, Teviot Rangers A,
Thamesmead Town, Welling Wanderers A and Welling Wanderers B.
22nd June 2003 - Under 9's Win at Willett Wanderers
The under 9's travelled to play in the Willett Wanderers
5-A-Side competition. After coming so close so many times in the past,
this was their day and they won the competition. It was unfortunate that
the two Lee United teams entered had to face each other in the semi-finals,
but on the whole the entire squad played well all day.
21st June 2003 - Under 11's victorius again
The under 11 squad entered two teams in the first White Oak
Wanderers 7's Tournament. The tournament arranged by invitation was a
great success and proved to be both well organised and very challenging.
Top teams from Greenwich Borough, White Oak Wanderers, Petts Wood, Hawkesfield,
and Welling ensured the football would be top class. Split into Reds and
Whites on the day the Whites were victorious, defeating Greenwich Borough
in the final 3-1. It was especially pleasing that the winning squad was
made up of current players and new players signing for next season.
7th June 2003 - Under 11's Retain Bexley Dynamos Trophy
The under 11's returned to Bexley Dynamos to try to regain the trophy
that they had won last year. With the squad split into Red and White it
was the Reds that won through on the day. Tough opposition included
Riverside, Petts Wood, White Oak Wanderers and Welling Wanderers.
Congratulations to the Reds, who had 4 players making their debut for Lee United,
and good luck to the Whites, fielding 2 new faces, in a couple
of weeks time when we visit White Oak Wanderers.

25th May 2003 - CHAMPIONS all Round for LUFC
All three teams within the Club have won their respective
divisions. The Under 9's are champions of the B West Division, The Under
11's are League Champions and the under 12's are champions of the C East
Division. Congratulations to all the players on a wonderful season.
11th May 2003 - Results go Lee's way
The Under 9's had a boost when Beckenham Town were beaten during
the week by Orpington Eagles. This opens up the title chase again between
ourselves and Beckenham.
The Under 11's needed a win against Glebe to confirm them as Bexley League
A Division Champions. Unfortunately Gelbe could not field a team and so
the League Title was won, but not in the way that the boys wanted to
win it. The under 12's 4-1 victory over Phoenix Sports,
together with Wellings draw with Lions 98 means that we have won
the C East Division with 1 game still to play.
4th May 2003 - All teams share success
The Under 9's had an excellent win over Orpinton Eagles to
extend their lead in the B West Division.
The Under 11's were away on tour at Coombe Haven. Entered in 2 competitions
they won the 7-A-Side Hastings Trophy, beating White Oak in an excellent final.
Unfortunately they lost in the Final of the 11-A-Side Competition to a
strong Borehamwood 2000 Team. The under 12's played Lions 98
at home and their 4-0 victory means that they could be champions with 1
more win out of their 2 remaining games.
15th April 2003 - 2003/04 Players wanted
Not to be complacent the Under 11's will shortly be looking to strengthen our squad for the 2003/04 Season. This will be in the form of training sessions and friendly matches hopefully starting in early May. Quality current year six players who are interested can contact Richard via our email at:
leeunitedfc@hotmail.com.
6th April 2003 - Mixed Fortunes for Lee United
The Under 9's had a mixed weekend with a Victory over Our
Lady Youth on Saturday & a Draw and loss to Beckenham Town on Sunday.
They finish the week at the top of their division
The Under 11 fought a hard 0-0 Draw againt Belvedere Sports in the Bexley Cup
Final, only to lose 3-2 on penalties. Still unbeaten in normal play the boys
were obviously upset at not lifting the trophy. Congratulations goes to
Belvedere whose players and spectators showed great sportsmanship on the
day. The under 12's travelled to Fawkham for a double banker
and won a very close game 2-1. Fawkham decided not to field a team for the second
game. This leaves the under 12's at the top of their division.

of Helen for the day and won 3-0.

The Under 9's won on Saturday against Willett Wanderers
which temorarily took them to the Top of the B West League Table. Sunday
saw Beckenham Town playing Beacons and all anticipation was for Beckenhan
to regain top spot. However Beacons pulled it out of the bag with a 1-0
victory, leaving the under 9's at the top. The
Under 12's just can't stop winning. This weekend a 5-0 victory over Russellers
saw them move up to second place in the C East Division. Other results went
in their favour aswell. It's 8 wins on the spin for the boys now.
16th Mar 2003 - Under 11's become London Champions
The Under 11's went to Mile End Stadium in their first
ever London Cup Final. Opponents Riverside A perfomed excellently and
there was nothing to choose between the teams at the end of full time,
with the score at 1-1. Extra time saw the boys get a second goal within
5 minuites and then saw some excellent defending as Riverside threw
everything at them. Congratulations to the entire squad who all played
their part to reach the Final, and who all played their part on the day. Well done also to Riverside who gave 110% on the day.
10th Mar 2003 - Another Good Weekend
The Under 9's extended their unbeaten run to 6 games with
a 0-0 draw and a 4-0 victory over New Sidcup Boys in the A Blue
division. The Under 11 inflicted a second
defeat on league leaders London Thistle to do the double over their rivals.
Lee had previously won 6-2 at London Thistle and Sunday saw a 4-2 win.
, opening the title race wide open. The under 12's travelled

in their division and are now unbeaten in their last 9 games, with 7 wins
on the trot.

penalties after drawing 2-2 after extra time. They now meet Belvedere sports in the final on April 6th.The under 12's had
a brilliant 3-1 victory over Hurst 'B' to move up to 4th in their
division. This was thier sixth straight win in a row. Other results also went their way with Welling only managing
a draw and Lions 98 losing.

matches. the Under 9's won 6-0 against Beacons, The Under
